St Jacques Vikings travel to Holbrook on Saturday looking to extend their winning run. The black and yellows have not lost in their last three games, and currently sit top of Sussex Division 2.
Holbrook sit eighth in the table and have only won once this season, although they have also picked up a walkover victory. The Vikings will be sure to not think this will be an easy game by any imagination however, and knowing the high standards their coaching team expect, they will want to ensure they go out to put in a good performance to hopefully earn the win.
Steve Melbourne has named another reworked side as he juggles the unavailability of many of his men this week. Captain Leon Gardner, Bjorn van der Kammen, Cally Murdoch and Jacob Smith are the headline omissions from the forward pack, but they are boosted by the return of experienced backrow Brett McFarlane who will captain the side from number 8.
Trevor Marquis returns to the front row after being rested last week, and his is joined by a Nico Ashplant and Alan Myers. Ashplant will play at hooker, a position he has played previously, with both Murdoch & James Mroch away.
Hayden Dempsey comes into the second row, and Alfie Penney returns on the blindside flank after missing out last week with a hamstring strain. The impressive Tom Rihoy continues on the open side.
Ben Holland and David Haimes continue their partnership at halfbacks, and in the centres Callum Gladstone & Johan Greenberg pair up. The latter was also rested last week after a heavy workload so far this season from the versatile South African. Leon Collenette comes back in this week on the wing, whilst Cashel Cahill & Tom Teasdale again make up the back three.
