The Vikings launch their second raid on the UK this Saturday as they go in search of another win, this time at Plumpton.
The black and yellows earned a good victory in their first Sussex Division 2 match over St Francis two weeks ago and will be keen to carry that momentum into this clash.
As with most games this season very little is known about their opposition, however the Vikings know Plumpton have played twice so far, winning on the opening day of the season over BSMS (Medics) before losing heavily to St Francis 71-7 last weekend.
Speaking ahead of the game Coach Steve Melbourne said. "We have no clue about the sides we are facing in this league as it is new to us, however we have already seen this season some unusual results with teams earning a big win and then a big loss last week. Therefore our message to the guys is to have no preconceptions of the opposition, just go out and play what's in front of them and trust our systems which we have worked hard on. If we do that hopefully we will come back with our second consecutive victory."
The Vikings coaches have named a side which features several changes from the one that faced St Francis on the opening weekend.
Forwards James Mroch, Brad Webb, Brett Hewlett and Jonathan Laws are unavailable this weekend, however they have been able to welcome back the Smith brothers, Jacob & Mitchell, who start in the second row together in place of Webb and Hewlett who impressed on their first outing.
Alan Myers returns to the squad to take a place on the bench, as Trevor Marquis starts in the front row, replacing the unavailable Mroch. He will be joined by Callum Murdoch and Hugh Birley.
Bjorn Van Der Kammen starts at number 8 this weekend, with Jonathan Laws unavailable due to an exam. The experienced forward will hopefully bring his usually strong ball carrying and solid aggressive defence to the side, which at times the latter was missing in the St Francis fixture.
He will be joined in the back row by Alfie Penney and Leon Gardner, who once again captains the side. Influential backrow Brett McFarlane returns to the squad on the bench, where he is joined by former colt Tom Rihoy, who will be looking to make his debut.
In the backs their are several changes, with both Ben Holland and Taylor Quate ruled out through injury. Holland has a minor knee trouble and should be fit next weekend, whilst Quate will not be fit for around two weeks. Pierre de Garis has returned to university and will be unavailable until Christmas.
Therefore Colt Tom Teasdale comes in at scrumhalf, and Gearoid Lee starts at fly-half. Dan Rice slots in at fullback, he will be joined on the wings by Dave Horsecraft and Johan Greenberg. Leon Collenette starts in the centres once again with Alec Bailey.
Cashel Cahill will also be looking to make his debut off the bench, a former colt he has recently returned from university, and can play in the centres and on the wing. He is joined by the experienced Tom Wood, and Tom Veillard who will provide halfback cover.
