The Vikings send a development side over to Alderney on Saturday, as we look to get some vital match exposure for some of our squad.
We are excited to reignite our friendly rivalry with the Alderney Ridudians, who we have not faced for a while.
Pierre de Garis will lead the side to the northern isle, he is one of a number of more experienced players who are in the team, which will be aiming to help bring direction to some of our less experienced players.
Another Vikings player that has helped steer our first XV this season is former Alderney resident Tom Veillard, and he too heads north to pull the strings in the fly-half jersey.
There are a few other familiar faces amongst the side, as former St Jacques players Ben Le Noury and James Webber are involved.
Ed Duerden made his debut for the club from the bench last weekend against Millbrook, he gets the chance to start this weekend in the centres.
Several players will get the chance to don a Vikings shirt for the first time, Henri Bisson, Mason Samson, Martin Help and Josh Austin have recently joined the club, and we look forward to seeing how they get on.
Henry Whittaker has made one appearance for the Vikings so far this season, and he gets a chance to build on that this weekend, starting in the second-row. He is joined by Ivan Donaldson, who has produced several strong performances this season and is rapidly developing.
This is an exciting opportunity as look to develop some of the players within our squad, and welcome back some old and new friends.
