Andover Seconds visit the KGV this Saturday, as they take on St Jacques in a Hampshire Solent league 1 clash.

After a close game against Eastleigh Seconds two weeks ago, in which the black and yellow home side lost by 6 points, having been ahead for much of the game, this weekend they will be hoping to get a much needed victory.

It's fair to say St Jacques are going through a transitioning process at present, however the quality of their performances this season has been good, but unless they can maintain those performance levels for the full 80 minutes they may continue to come unstuck.

For this weekend Saints are able to include one of the stars of the show in Dorking last weekend for the Guernsey Raiders, young Ben Holland. The scrum half produced an excellent performance on his senior rugby debut last week but this weekend he will be looking to make an impact off the bench as Tom Nixon is due to continue in the starting number 9 shirt.

Guy Newsom and Callum Gladstone are this weekend required by the Raiders, whilst Taylor Quate picked up a hamstring injury last weekend in Dorking which looks to keep him out for a few weeks, and therefore there is some reshuffling in the Saints back line. They are boosted though by the inclusion of the experienced Shane Taylor on the wing. A player with extreme speed and power, he has just returned from injury he picked up playing for Guernsey Raiders earlier this season and will offer a serious threat out wide.

Alec Bailey continues at Fly-half, where he will hope to bring the strong midfield options of Johan Greenberg and Leon Collenette into the game. Both are excellent distributers and will hope to provide good ball to Diogo De Freitas, Tom Wood and Taylor out wide.

In the forwards Ben Le Noury, Cally Murdoch and Nico Ashplant continue as the starting front row, with James Mroch and Trevor Marquis set to offer the replacement options from the bench. Le Noury is captain of the side this weekend.

Lock Mitch Smith has now been ruled out for the rest of season after suffering a broken arm earlier this season and Giles Quigley is also still injured following a broken hand. However former Guernsey Colt James Parr makes his competitive debut for St Jacques in the second row, joining up with the other Smith brother, Jacob.

Hayden Dempsey and Sam Crawford will hope to be a nuisance to the opposition all game, as they start on the flanks, with Jon Laws at no 8.

Brett McFarlane is back after several weeks out, and he will look to offer his usual impact and high tempo ball carrying from the bench.

Kick off is 13.30 at the KGV on Saturday.

Other rugby on to this weekend.

Guernsey Raiders are away to Hertford tomorrow, with two of our regulars Callum Gladstone and Guy Newson rewarded for their hard work of late with a call up to the National 3 side.

The Guernsey ladies are also in action, as they face Lewes at 2pm at Footes lane in a top of the table clash.

We wish the very best to both sides tomorrow. Here's to hopefully 3 Guernsey victories this weekend!

Thanks for all your support so far this season, we loook forward to hopefully seeing you at the KGV tomorrow.
