We are pleased to confirm that from this new season ahead St Jacques will be competing in a new league in Sussex.

After much work by local Rugby Development Officer Steve Melbourne, we are pleased to confirm that we will relocate leagues to the Sussex County, and we will begin our new adventure in the Armada Sussex 2 league this September.

Excitingly this new opportunity offers St Jacques the ability to join the RFU League pryamid for the first time, joining at step 10, which will now include promotion opportunities. We will also now face the 1st XV's of the clubs in our leagues rather than their 2nd XV, which is another exciting development and opportunity for our club.

We will face Newick, Holbrook, Midhurst, Worthing, Rye, Shoreham, Plumpton, BSMS (Med) & finally St Francis, who we will face first up on the 9th September at the KGV, and in total will have 18 leagues games this term. The full fixtures will be released on our website in due course.

Working in conjunction with Guernsey Raiders we will now be able to offer the young and developing players of the Guernsey Academy, along with our own & Guernsey Raiders 2nd XV current squad members the opportunity a full and competitive league programme, which forms a vital part of the senior rugby development pathway, which is exciting for rugby in Guernsey as a whole. We are pleased to work with the Guernsey Academy, the Guernsey Raiders & the Guernsey Rugby Association in being able to deliver very competitive league rugby to those below the Raiders National 3 squad, and hopefully continue to assist with the development of all players locally.

Whilst this new opportunity is exciting, we wish to thank Hampshire RFU for all their support, particularly over the last three seasons whilst we competed in the Solent League. We also wish to thank, and wish the best of luck to the clubs within the Solent League, who supported our entry into their league and who assisted in providing many entertaining and enjoyable games both at the KGV and of course at their home grounds in the UK. We have made many great friends over the past three seasons, and hopefully our paths will cross again in the future.

There will be further news ahead of the new season in due course, and we will keep you updated as the squad go through thei pre-season campaign.

Of course if any past or new players wish to get involved with St Jacques and this exciting opportunity, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us for more information regarding training etc. Details can be found on the contact us section of this website.

Here's to an exciting season ahead! #BlackandYellow
